Sportswomen of Colorado Sports Clinics

Sportswomen of Colorado launched its Satellite Clinics in 2022 to expand access to sport for girls across the state. What began as a pilot program has quickly grown into a statewide initiative connecting collegiate female athletes with young girls through free, on-site clinics.

Today, our Satellite Clinics serve girls ages 9–13 at Title I schools, with a focus on communities where access to sport is limited by cost, transportation, or opportunity. By bringing clinics directly to schools, we remove barriers and create meaningful, high-impact experiences led by collegiate athletes who serve as mentors, leaders and role models.

Each clinic is designed to build confidence, leadership, and a sense of belonging in sport. Girls are introduced not only to new skills, but to the possibility of seeing themselves in athletics long-term.

In the Fall of 2025 through May 2026, Sportswomen of Colorado will serve more than 750 students through eight or more clinics, with continued expansion across Colorado. Through the support of a generous Community Grant from SCHEELS Johnstown, participating schools also receive sports equipment, extending the impact of each clinic beyond a single day and into ongoing play.

“Success comes from consistency and believing in the process.” – Jenny Simpson (Distance Running Olympic Champion)

Our Satellite Clinic program continues to grow through strong partnerships across the state. To date, we have collaborated with over nine Colorado universities and two high school programs, expanding access, leadership opportunities and impact for those we serve.

In 2026, we introduced Flag Football and Volleyball clinics, introducing new sports for girls to participate and build confidence through sport.
