This annual celebration was established to recognize and honor outstanding women athletes and contributors to women’s athletics in the state of Colorado. In recent years, the banquet has attracted an audience of nearly 500 guests.
Sportswomen of Colorado honored more than 40 athletes and contributors in sport this past March at it’s Annual Awards Celebration. These athletes will join 2,300 women who have been recognized since 1974.
Winners are selected by a local media panel from nominations received throughout the state. Three-time winners are inducted into the Sportswomen Hall of Fame. The evening culminates with the highly anticipated announcement of the Sportswoman of the Year Award.
