  • Scored game winning goal in quarterfinal, semifinal, and final

Big-time players show up in big-time moments when their teams need them the most, and Grandview’s Naomi Clark certainly did that and then some in 2022.

In the Class 5A state championship game, Clark’s Wolves trailed Broomfield by a score of 1-0 at halftime. In the second half, Clark, who was also the golden goal hero against Valor Christian in the semifinals just five days prior, scored a hat trick in the second half alone to lead her team to victory and the program’s fifth state title since 2015.

For the season, Clark finished with an impressive 20 goals and was named CHSAA 5A Player of the Year as voted on by the state’s coaches. An incredible eight of the All-American’s 20 goals were game-winners, including game-winning goals in the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals.

Clark, who was a part-time kicker for the football team in the fall, also volunteers with developmentally delayed adults – helping them learn like skills and integrate with the community. She also tutors and mentors under-privileged children, and helps children below grade level achieve a level of success with their studies so they can progress towards grade appropriate studies.

With one more potentially magical year left at Grandview, Clark will head off to play soccer at Washington State in college.
