You would never know by her quiet, humble demeanor that Mya Hollingshed left the Colorado Buffaloes as one of the most dominant women’s basketball players in school history. After leading the team in scoring with more than 14 points per game this past season, Hollingshed captained the Buffs to their first NCAA tournament appearance in nine years.
Four years at Colorado weren’t enough for Hollingshed … she stayed for five seasons and became the school’s all-time leader in games played with 141, became the sixth player in school history to amass 1,600 points and 900 rebounds, and also finished in sixth on the all-time scoring and rebounds list.
Hollingshed was drafted 8th overall by the Las Vegas Aces in the 2022 WNBA Draft, a team led by first-time head coach and fellow Colorado Sportswoman Becky Hammon.
