Why is University of Colorado golfer Morgan Miller our college golfer of the year? Oh, lots of reasons. Lots and lots of impressive reasons. The Buffs sophomore is the Colorado Golf Association Women’s Player of the Year. She started 2023 winning the prestigious Jones/Doherty Women’s Amateur in Florida. She played in the elite US Women’s Amateur and advanced to match play. Miller calls that probably her most memorable performance of the year. She finished third in the CGA Women’s Stroke Play Tournament. Playing for CU, Miller finished top three in five fall tournaments. She set a school fall record for stroke average with a 70.4. She shot seven rounds in the 60’s to set a CU single season record. And, she did all that in just half a season! On top of it all…CU sophomore Morgan Miller is ranked 98th in the world! That’s why she’s our honoree in college golf!
