Monica Lieving

Year: 2023
Award: Long Golf Drive, Professional

  • World Champion in Long Drive
  • Currently Ranked #2 in the World

After playing collegiately at Arkansas State, Monica Lieving found her niche on the golf course about two years ago when she started competing in long drive events. In the time since, she’s emerged as a powerhouse in the sport, and its newest and brightest female face. As a rookie in 2023, Lieving ascended to the No. 1 ranking at one point and then capped her breakout campaign by winning the World Long Drive Championship in October in Atlanta. She’s just beginning to scratch the surface of what she can accomplish in long drive as she continues to improve her ball speed and club speed. Her longest drive last year was a whopping 375-yard drive during a WLD event at Bigfoot Turf Farm in La Salle, and her longest drive at sea level was 349 yards. To win the title in October, she beat top-ranked Phillis Meti in the finals. Our winner in professional golf, Monica Lieving.
