University of Colorado Boulder (CU) skier Mikaela Tommy continues to make her mark. She’s our back-to-back honoree in college skiing.

In 2020, Mikaela was on the podium nine out of 10 races. Five of those finishes were at the top! And, everyone noticed.

Mikaela was named National Women’s Alpine Skier of the Year by the US Collegiate Ski Coaches Association (USCSCA). She was All-America for the second year in a row. And, she was named the Women’s Alpine MVP by the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Skiing Association (RMISA).

Mikaela participated in a total of 23 out of 27 possible career races. This places her as one of the best women’s alpine skiers in CU’s storied skiing history.

In 2020, Mikaela Tommy set the CU mark with four consecutive giant slalom (GS) wins. And, she’s the Buffs leader in GS wins, with three more than any skier in program history. She never finished outside of the top 20 and finished outside the top 10 only once. Out of her 13 podium appearances, she had eight race victories.
