Air Force’s Mahala Norris was very busy her record-breaking senior season. Norris achieved the NCAA title in the 3,000m steeplechase, as well as All-American honors for outdoor track. In the Mountain West Championship, Norris won titles in the steeplechase and the 5,000-meter run. Norris would later be awarded the prestigious Mountain West Athlete of the Year award. Norris made an appearance in the US Olympic Trials finals for the steeplechase.
