Magdalena Luczak started only six races her sophomore season, but was nearly unbeatable on the slopes, with four wins and two runner-up finishes. And when it mattered most, Magdalena won the biggest two races of the season, sweeping the slalom and giant slalom in the NCAA national championships to lead the University of Colorado to the team title. In her sophomore season at Colorado, the native of Lodz, Poland, became only the second skier in program history to win both alpine races. Only eight other women have ever accomplished that feat.
Named the national women’s alpine skier of the year, she received All-America honors in both disciplines. The 2024 national sweep followed Magdalena’s 2022 giant slalom title and appearance in the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing.
