Maddie Karr is the Sportswomen of Colorado honoree in college gymnastics. In 2020, Maddie set a University of Denver (DU) Denver record by earning her 106th individual career title. In order to have crushed this record, she earned 9.900 or higher on her routines. Her perfectionism continued throughout her competitions, scoring a perfect 10.0 on the vault twice, and a near perfect 9.975 on bars. She is ranked fourth nationally in the all-around.

In 2020, she won her 19th Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) All-America title. And, all her success led Maddie to be named a finalist for the America Athletic, Inc. (AAI) Award, which is considered the Heisman Trophy for gymnastics.

Adding to her list of accomplishments, Maddie Karr was the 2020 Big 12 Scholar-Athlete of the year. She was also named WCGA Scholastic All-America for the third consecutive year.
