Logan Hale

Year: 2023
Award: Golf, High School
Location/Affiliation: Erie High School

  • 4A State Champion
  • Competed in the US women Amateur event

When Logan Hale won the Class 4A state title in high school girls golf as a junior, it was hard to believe six short years ago the sport was not even on her radar. She was a competitive skier who also participated in track, soccer and lacrosse in Vail, CO. A move to Colorado Springs and eventually Erie put her on the golf course and her competitive fire took over. Logan shot 7 – under par for her Erie High School team over two days to win the state title. Her coach, Brandon Bird, credits her power as far superior to any player in the state. Her father, John Logan, credits her athleticism as she has always been good at any sport she chooses. But Logan credits the work she put into her mental game that unlocks a new level in 2023. After winning state, Logan was the only girl from Colorado to compete in the US women amateur event at the Colorado Women’s Open, where she made the cut as the youngest player in the field. Logan Hale is this year’s High School Golfer of the Year.
