In 2022, Betts was named the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association National Player of the Year, a Naismith/Jersey Mikes All American, a MaxPreps All-American, a McDonalds All American and a Jordan Brand All-American. She was twice named Gatorade Player of the Year and was the 2022 Class 5A CHSAA Player of the Year.
On the world stage, Betts won two gold medals, helping lead Team USA to victory at the 2019 FIBA U16 Championship in Chile and the 2021 FIBA U19 World Cup in Hungary.
As a senior, the 6-foot-7 center averaged 17.2 points, 11 rebounds, 3.6 blocks and 3.5 assists per game and finished her career as Colorado’s all-time leader in field goal percentage. In the 2022 Class 5A title game, Betts racked up 13 points, nine rebounds and four blocks in leading Grandview to a 52-40 win over Valor Christian.
Having accomplished about all there is to do as a high school player, Betts is now a freshman at Stanford, where she will take on the next challenge in her basketball journey.
