At the 2022 High School Girls Swimming State Championships, Fossil Ridge’s Lucy Bell won the Class 5A 200-yard IM with a time of 1:56.41, breaking Missy’s decade-old record in the event and catapulting herself into the ranks of Colorado’s all-time prep swimming legends.  As a senior, Lucy also won her 3rd straight 100-yard freestyle title and overcame a 2.5-second deficit to anchor the Sabercats to their 6th straight title in the 400-yard freestyle relay.

In 2022, Lucy was named an NISCU All-American in the 200 IM, 100 butterfly, 100 freestyle, 200 medley relay and the 400 freestyle relay.  Lucy is now a freshman at Stanford University, where she will continue to reach for greater heights.
