Kendall Ferguson, a standout catcher and third baseman at Valor Christian, has earned the title as Colorado’s Home Run Queen after smashing 25 home runs last season, leading not only the state but the entire country. With a remarkable .686 batting average and getting to base 76% of the time, her power and consistency are supreme. At one point this season, she had a 6-game streak where she hit 11 home runs! Twice, hitting 3 home runs in a single game. Unsurprisingly, Kendall was named the 5A Player of the Year.
To imagine the type of player Kendall is, think about this…during a state tournament game, the opponent intentionally walked her 3 straight at bats and the one time they pitched to her, yep she hit a home run! Next stop, Colorado State University where Fort Collins residents should fear softballs hitting their windows.
Kendall Ferguson is a powerhouse, making her an easy choice for our high school softball honoree.
