Katie Oleksak from Colorado State University (CSU) is the Sportswomen of Colorado 2019 honoree for college volleyball. Katie’s been the starting setter for the Rams women’s volleyball team for the last four years, and 2019 was one of her best seasons ever.
Katie broke the CSU all-time modern scoring assist record and ended her career as one of the best players in Colorado State volleyball history. She was named the Mountain West Volleyball Player of the Year for 2019. Not only that, it was Katie’s third conference player of the year honor, making her the first player in Mountain West history to win that award three times.
Perhaps best of all, Katie Oleksak led the 2019 Rams volleyball team to 28 straight victories. To add to her success, she also led the Rams to their third straight Mountain West conference title and their 25th consecutive berth in the NCAA tournament.
