  • National Women’s Alpine Skier of the Year
  • Named to US Olympic Team
  • NCAA National Champion

Katie Hensien lived her best life in 2022, racking up as many career accomplishments as one possibly could. The University of Denver skier wasted no time this past year, earning her first collegiate wins in giant slalom on back-to-back days in January – and followed it up with six podiums on eight races throughout the season.

All of that work paid off! Hensien won the National Championship in women’s slalom and was named to the conference’s first-team, and was deservedly named the DU ski team alpine MVP.

Hensien took a short break in the collegiate season last year, as she was named to her very first US Olympic team and competed in the 2022 Beijing Olympics.

After finishing her first full season with Team USA Alpine skiing, Hensien was named the National Women’s Alpine Skier of the Year.
