Katherine “Kat” Sackett plays softball at Erie High and is Sportswomen of Colorado’s award winner in softball. In 2019, “Kat” had one of her best years. She not only led her team to a 1st place finish at the 4A Softball State Tournament, but she was also named the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) 4A Softball Player of the Year.

Kat was the 2019 All-Conference Player of the Year as well as the BoCo Preps All-Region Player of the Year. To cap off her amazing season, the Colorado Coaches of Girls Sports selected her to their Senior All-State Team.

But, there’s more to Katherine than just softball. At Erie High School, she serves as a peer mentor and advocate for her classmates with disabilities. She also serves as a mentor in the Unified Sports Program where she helps with the training and competition for athletes with disabilities.
