  • World #1 and American Record Holder
  • Claimed her 9th U.S. Title
  • Four time Olympian

When it comes to the competitive world of the Javelin, Kara Winger is one of the sport’s most significant ambassadors. Her decorated resume includes nine U.S. titles and six World Championship appearances. She is a four time Olympian and was a team captain and Flag Bearer during the closing ceremonies of the Tokyo Olympics.

In 2022, Kara not only claimed her ninth U.S. title and ranked World #1 in Women’s Javelin, she also became the American record holder with a distance of 68.11m. But that’s not all! Kara made history at the World Athletics Championships, winning a silver medal, becoming the first American woman to win a medal in javelin at any World Athletics Championships.

Kara’s contributions extend far beyond the field. She also works to bridge the sponsorship pay gap for professional women athletes. Kara Winger, our honoree in Professional Track and Field and Javelin Throw.
