Soccer midfielder Jaelin Howell was a high school all-star at Fossil Ridge High School in Ft. Collins. Now, she’s continuing her success at Florida State University (FSU).
Jaelin’s talents turned heads in 2020 and earned her some very special recognition. She was the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Midfielder of the year, made the ACC All-Tournament Team, was named All-ACC First-Team, and was a TopDrawerSoccer Player of the Week.
Looking ahead, Jaelin is on the 2020-2021 watch list for the Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) Hermann Trophy, regarded as the Heisman Trophy for the country’s top college soccer player.
Jaelin started in all 11 FSU matches and earned her first goal of the 2020 season against Virginia Tech. In that same game, she added her first assist of the season, giving Florida State a 2-0 lead. To wrap it up, Jaelin scored the game-winner with just 12 seconds left on the clock.
To add to her amazing 2020 season, Jaelin Howell scored a goal in the ACC tournament quarterfinals and had both a goal and an assist in the tournament semifinals.
