For two straight Paralympic Games, Hailey Danz stood proudly on the podium, with a Silver medal around her neck. In Rio 2016, she pushed her limits, only to watch gold slip away. In Tokyo 2020, she fought harder, came closer—but still, Silver. She wanted more. Born with a deep love for sports, Hailey has been fighting since the age of 12 when her life took a drastic turn. She was diagnosed with bone cancer, leading to the amputation of her left leg. But she didn’t let this challenge define her, instead turning her focus to paratriathlon.
As a two-time USA Paratriathlon National Champion and four-time World champion, her success in 2024 began with a first-place finish in her classification at the World Triathlon Para Series and it culminated in Paris. Across the finish line, arms raised in triumph—GOLD. Not just a medal, but proof that no battle, not even cancer, could slow her down. Hailey Danz is a champion.
