Denali Pinto is a force to be reckoned with on the basketball court. In 2020, she was the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Player of the Year and Academic Player of the Year. Denali was ranked first in the RMAC for scoring and was ranked first in the South-Central Region for total points.
Denali also won the Athletics Directors Association (D2ADA) Academic Achievement Award and led her Colorado School of Mines Orediggers in scoring at the start of 29 different games.
In 2020, Denali finished her season with an outstanding 578 points, 154 rebounds, 46 assists, and 29 steals. With those numbers, she set the Mines single-season scoring record for both total points and points per game.
Nationally, she finished the year ranked 10th in total free throws and 20th in in scoring. But, wait, there’s even more! All those free throws added up to another Denali Pinto Orediggers record—free throws made in a single season.
