In 2020, Dani was named National Female Indoor Athlete of the Year by the U.S. Track, Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA). She ran the fastest mile time in the nation and the third-fastest 5,000 meter time.

During her Buffs career, Dani Jones won four NCAA Division I championships including cross country and the 5,000. She holds two school records and is a 12-time All-America. Dani’s sights are now set on the Olympic Trials and the postponed 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games.
