Civana Kuhlmann has been a great addition to the University of Colorado Buffaloes soccer team. She’s a Chatfield High School graduate and a former Colorado Rush player… who transferred in from Stanford for the 2022 season.
It was her only season in Boulder, her final collegiate season, and Civana put up career numbers. She wrapped it all up when she scored her 12th goal of the season in CU’s season-finale against Utah. Civana also handed out a career-high six assists this season to finish with a career-best 30 points, placing her second in the Pac-12 and rank her 22nd in the NCAA.
Overall, her single-season numbers put Civana right up there with the Buffs all-time best. She’s tied with three former Buffs for second best in the season goals category, and with two for second best in season points. Civana finished up her career winning first team All-Pac-12 and first team All-Pacific Region honors. And, she became just the second Buffs women’s soccer player to be named first team All-Academic All-America. Put it all together, and Civana Kuhlmann is our college soccer player of the year!
