She was injured and she was in pain. But, Colorado Mesa University diver Brittney Dixon didn’t let up. She was the defending Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) conference champion. So, she screwed up her courage and ignored the discomfort.
Brittney was suffering from a fractured foot. Which can be a little tough for a diver.
Once she got to the 2019 conference championships, she was all in. That dedication gave her what she needed to successfully defend her 1-meter conference title. And, she brought home the RMAC Championships Diver of the Meet honors.
Brittney Dixon finished the season as an NCAA Division II All-American in both the 1- and 3-meter diving events and was RMAC All-Conference in both events. Over her career, in addition to her RMAC championships, Brittney was an NCAA qualifier. She was an NCAA All-American every year she competed at Colorado Mesa University. And, she was a true inspiration.
