When you’re a distance runner at Adams State University in Alamosa, you’re joining a legacy of excellence. And, we have a new name to add to that legacy… our honoree in college track and field, distance runner Brianna Robles. She’s a tiny dynamo. Not even five feet tall. But, in 2022, Brianna ruled the 5,000 meters.

First she won the NCAA Division II Indoor Track 5,000 Meter National Championship. And, she did it in record time, just sixteen minutes and 98/100ths of a seconds. (16:00.98) Best ever! Then, in the spring she won the Outdoor 5,000 Meter National Championship, with the fifth fastest time in meet history.

Back in 2019, Brianna was named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Freshman of the Year. She’s also made her mark at the Cross Country National Championships, with two top ten finishes. This past fall she finished fourth, behind teammate and national champion Stephanie Cotter, to help lead the Grizzlies to their third straight national team title. Distance runner Brianna Robles. Small in stature. BIG results!
