Meet Eliza Osburn and Betty Nelson. Two Colorado natives. Teammates at the University of North Carolina. And 2025 national champions. As freshmen, both made an immediate impact on one of the top programs in the country. Eliza, a dynamic midfielder, earned ACC Freshman of the Year honors and delivered in the biggest moments, including scoring the game-winning goal in the NCAA Championship. Betty, the steady presence in goal, started all 22 games and led the nation in goals against average, anchoring a dominant defense. Together, they helped power North Carolina to a national title with each playing a critical role on both ends of the field. From Colorado to the national stage, their impact was undeniable.
