Anne Kelly didn’t just coach the Colorado Buffaloes golf teams, she built them, shaped them, and made sure they could hold their own in one of the toughest conferences in the country. Taking the reins in 1997, she turned CU golf into a well-respected program. Her legacy? A program built on character, perseverance, kindness and a steadfast coach who never stopped believing in her players—even when they found more bunkers than fairways. Under her guidance, the Buffaloes made eight NCAA Regional appearances and advanced to the NCAA Championships twice. She coached nine All-Americans and 15 players who earned all-conference honors in both the Big 12 and Pac-12.
Her commitment to academic excellence was evident with 24 of her athletes recognized as All-America Scholars. Anne’s career culminated with the 2023 Kim Evans Award which recognized her nationally for her lifetime contributions to women’s golf.
