Coming back into a sport after gaining painful memories is difficult, but Amber English did just that with help from mentor Vincent Hancock. English’s perseverance and talent for the sport not only pushed her to the Olympics but set an Olympic record. English hit 56 of 60 targets in the shotgun portion. At the Olympics, English would earn gold, outdoing the reigning skeet champion from Italy by one point. English is a member of the World Class Athlete Program and is a member of the Army.
